Section L is the first really huge stage of this race. Teams will begin a long mountaineering stage in search of CPs 17 & 18. Teams must use the horizontal and vertical fixed ropes and clearly follow the marked routes through this difficult terrain. In cloud this will be a difficult section to navigate. Crampons and ice axes are essential. The glacier section will be challenging for some teams and times will vary. We estimate the fastest team to complete this section in 12 hours. Teams may choose to rest at CPs during this arduous stage.
